A brand new reproduction of the classic Mid Century Modern Designed Kidney Bean Coffee Table An Atomic Era Design In Bamboo.
Modeled after an original design, this table has the same sleek lines from the atomic era. The table top is made from 4-6 year old organically grown FSC certified moso bamboo with a vertical grain core and horizontal grain on the faces. The caramelized bamboo is dyed black to make a deep rich tone. You can faintly see the grain of the bamboo in the end.
The dimensions are 43″ long x 23″ wide x 16.75″ tall. The hairpin legs are very solid and made from full ½” steel bar and then clear coated for protection. The table top is finished with three coats of satin varnish to protect the bamboo while letting the richness of the black grain show through (please see the second to last photo for example.)
Because grain and the dying process varies each time, plus our computer screen resolutions, the table may be a little lighter or darker than the pictures, but it’s pretty black.
